The exclusive Yalumba x Crown Cellar & Co 'The Octavius' 2017 is an extraordinary wine that exemplifies the pinnacle of craftsmanship and dedication to winemaking and represents a long-standing relationship between Crown and Yalumba.

“The Octavius is Yalumba’s flagship Shiraz, born of treasured, old vines dating back to 1854. These are some of the oldest Shiraz plantings in the world,” said Yalumba’s Winemaker Kevin Glastonbury.

Crown’s resident beverage team Chris Crawford and Matt Brooke recently travelled to Yalumba to pilot the new ‘Buy the Barrel' experience to create this exciting inaugural collaboration.

“As a Sommelier I’ve always had a huge respect for Yalumba as a winery for what they produce but also the history they represent as part of the Australian wine industry,” said Brooke. “And now it’s incredibly exciting to think we’re creating our own history with them with this program in accessing a very special portion (the Octave) of Yalumba 'The Octavius' and putting our joint names on the bottle.”

This wine is sure to impress with its longevity and ability to evolve gracefully over time, making it a cherished treasure for any connoisseur's cellar. Only 132 bottles of this exclusive collaboration are available.
