Tasting Notes

When to drink
Will reward careful cellaring for 10+ years
On the nose
Cassis, blackberry pastille, marri blossom, raspberry, pomegranate, black pepper and star anise. Hints of fennel flower and salty licorice are the lingering impressions.
On the palate
It’s dense and engaging, yet there is that life and energy that stamps these wines with another dimension.
Product Notes
Approximately 70% of the Cabernet is from the dry-grown Victory Point vineyard, situated in the subregion of Treeton. The remaining 30% consists of fruit from mature vineyards from the Wallcliffe (including estate-grown fruit) and Wilyabrup subregions. Before the blend was assembled, the wine was matured for 14 months in French oak (45% new barriques). Cabernet Sauvignon (92%) Petit Verdot (4%) Malbec (4%).
