Stonier’s story begins with Brian Stonier, who was one of the first vignerons in the Mornington Peninsula. He planted Chardonnay in 1978, while his kids were surfing at the local beach. This viticultural hobby grew to become a great love for Brian, and in honour of his other great love, Champagne, he planted Pinot Noir in 1982.

Tasting Notes

When to drink
Enjoy now or cellar for 1-2 years
On the nose
Fresh spicy red fruits and dried herbs.
On the palate
There is a nice tautness as a young wine, bursting with fresh and bright red fruits. The cooler vintage has certainly brought forward the finer and more delicate flavours of Pinot Noir, though there is still ample tannin support with a typical regional savoury edge.
Product Notes
The 2021 Stonier Pinot Noir is sourced from a select group of hand tendered vineyards located amongst the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula. The Peninsula's unique geography and excellent maritime conditions contribute to a highly distinctive expression of Pinot Noir.
