Pewsey Vale 'Limited Edition Heritage Label' Riesling 2022

Profile Crisp
Region Eden Valley
Body Light

At Pewsey Vale Riesling is the single focus. Every bottle captures the purity of our single site vineyard in Eden Valley where nature is left undisturbed to do its thing.

With an average altitude of nearly 500 metres, Pewsey Vale Vineyard sits 250 metres above the Barossa Valley floor. The resultant cooler temperatures encourage a longer ripening period that is essential for producing superior Riesling grapes.

Louisa Rose, multi-award winning winemaker, wine judge and a cool climate enthusiast, has been making Pewsey Vale Vineyard wines since 1996. She is a firm believer in the philosophy that 'wine is made in the vineyard'.

Tasting Notes

When to drink
Drink now or hold for up to 10 years
On the nose
Intense aromas of fine dried herbs, white flowers, lemon and lime.
On the palate
A long and rich palate, reminiscent of grapefruit, lime and fresh rosemary. The wine finishes with soft natural acidity, which balances the flavour and minerality.
Product Notes
To commemorate 175 years of Pewsey Vale Vineyard, we have released a Collector’s Edition Heritage Label of just 1847 bottles of our Pewsey Vale Vineyard Estate Riesling 2022. Inspired by our museum labels from the 1960s and reimagined across 1847 bottles. Each individual bottle has been hand numbered. The Heritage Label is inspired by our museum labels from the 1960s that featured the early painting of Pewsey Vale by Richard Ernest Minchin (1831 – 1893). Each individual bottle is hand-numbered to be a truly unique item for any collector.
