Motley Cru wines are a culmination of nearly 4 decades in the wine game, from making, distributing, selling, and of course – slurping! They are honest, unpretentious, and delicious wines that we have a lot of fun making. We are a small ‘motley cru’ of wine geeks and music tragics, and despite the name we are not prone to glam rock tantrums. This is the newest brand for Dave Jemmeson, and Callie Jemmeson as the winemaker. The wines are situated in Central Victoria, Alpine and King Valley and include three wines in the range.

On the nose
Blackpepper infused blackberry and liquorice top notes are trailed by scents of vanillin oak and hints of earthy dark chocolate.
On the palate
Rich and dark, this weighty Shiraz features a generous dose of blackberry and liquorice fruits over inky dark chocolate, spicy vanillin oak and earth characters. A sturdy tannin structure supports the plush mouthfeel. Slightly dryish finish with a boldly flavoured aftertaste.
Product Notes
The fruit was sourced from two sites, one on the ancient river soils of Goulburn River, which brings rich, vibrant fruit to the blend and the other on granite/ironstone soil which adds depth and spice.
