Tasmania is ideally situated to make malt Whiskey, and yet 150 years after the last licensed Tasmanian distillery closed its doors, it took a Whiskey lover to realise the environment was perfect.  in 1992, the Lark household became the first Australian distillery to produce single malt spirit in 154 years. The spirit continued to grow and evolve, leading to the creation of a rich Tasmanian Single Malt Whiskey aged in small casks. Finally in 1998, after years in the making, the first Lark Distillery Single Malt Whiskey was released commercially. The Lark Distillery has seen substantial growth over the years, but the commitment to producing a quality Tasmanian Single Malt has stayed the same.  The result is a rich and viscous spirit, with the house style of citrus on butterscotch, that makes up both our Classic Cask and Cask Strength Tasmanian Single Malt Whiskies.

Packaged exclusively for Crown, this mouth watering medley of buttery baked goods and sweet puffs of peat is a deliciously syrupy single malt with a light viscosity. Finished in ex-sherry sherry pedro Ximenez and Olorosso casks, this is a stately burnt orange library of a dram; rich forest fruits and dark chocolate cake dance with waves of unapologetic sherry through to the long and rich finish. Only 500 bottles of this exclusive whisky have been made.
