Henschke 'Hill of Grace' Shiraz 2006 with Gift Box
$1,300.00
Henschke Hill of Grace is at once a profound and yet ethereal expression of a single Eden Valley site, lying in a shallow alluvial valley just northwest of the Henschke winery. The chapel overlooking the site 'Gnadenberg’ translates from German to ‘Hill of Grace'.

Tasting Notes
When to drink
Drink now, or cellar for a further 10+ years
On the nose
A complex and lively wine on the nose, this makes a confident impression and has a mix of cedary French and sweeter-smelling American oak. Plenty of red fruits and the trademark five spices of the Hill of Grace vineyard. Some baking spices too, and a whiff of black and lighter pepper.
On the palate
The build of complex spice is stunning and really distinctive, moving through earthy nuances and into more savoury elements. The acidity stands up early on the palate, ahead of sweeping and dense fleshy dark plum and blackberry fruit flavour. A soft rolling thunder of tannins. Elegant yet sturdy and structured palate.
Product Notes
Matured in new French (65%) and American (35%) hogsheads for 21 months prior to blending and bottling.
