Archie Rose Distilling Co. was founded in 2015 by Will Edwards, a former brewer and distiller. Edwards had a passion for whisky, gin, and all things spirits and set out to create a distillery that would reflect his enthusiasm for the craft. He set up shop in the inner-Sydney suburb of Rosebery, an area that had been home to several distilleries since the early 1900s. Archie Rose Distilling Co. strives to create world-class spirits that are deeply rooted in the craft of distilling and the local Australian culture. They use traditional distilling methods and locally sourced ingredients to create their signature range of gin, vodka, and whisky. The distillery also offers a range of special release and limited edition spirits, as well as a range of cocktails made using their own spirits.

To create this truly unique whisky, we selectively sourced rare malted rye and the finest malted barley from progressive malt houses, paired them with virgin American oak casks air-dried for 36 months and let it all mature in the maritime air of coastal Sydney. Our preference for malted rye over the far more commonly used unmalted rye affords this whisky a point of distinction evident upon the very first sip. This layered, aromatic spirit offers notes of spiced custard, ginger, stone fruit and baked apple pie with a fresh herbal finish that lingers on the palate.
