From world-class featured wines, carefully considered gift packs for $50, and a wide range of wine accessories and reference books, Crown Cellar & Co. recognises the beauty of wine gift giving, and are here to help ensure your next wine purchase is an enjoyable one.

Located in the heart of Crown Towers Melbourne, Crown Cellar & Co. offers a wide selection of premium wines hailing from some of the country’s most renowned regions. Lead by Crown’s resident beverage team, Chris Crawford & Matt Brooke, both certified sommeliers with over 35 years of combined experience, Crown Cellar & Co. allows varietals unique to some of Crown’s most coveted restaurants such as NobuBistro Guillaume and Silks to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.

On feature this month are a collection of two bottle $50 gift packs designed to make gift giving easy and delicious. Encompassing a variety of premium wineries both local and overseas, gift givers are left with the only difficult decision of choosing between white, pink or red.

Burgundy producers, Triennes Rosé which features in this pack is vibrant, possessing a remarkable floral aroma and fruitiness in flavour. The Other Wine Co, sister winery to Shaw & Smith, who produce one of Australia’s most iconic Sauvignon Blancs, have graced the world of wine with a crowd-pleasing Pinot Gris. This particular drop has taken restaurants by storm, offering a delectable crisp and juicy wine that is sure to delight any lucky drinker.

The red pack showcases some of the finest wine regions on Australian soil, including Margaret River and the Barossa Valley. The St Hallett ‘Blockhead’ Shiraz is of particular note, with all the hallmarks of a Barossa Shiraz that is exceptionally drinkable.

Other wines featured this month hail from a number of regions both local and overseas. For the month of February, our selection ranges from Rising Gamay Noir to Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Cuvée Réservée Extra Brut

Director of Wine, Matt Brooke, recommends the Credaro. Aptly named ‘1000 Crowns’ Chardonnay, it is a wine usually difficult to source due to its sensational flavour profile – medium-full bodied with flavours of stonefruits, zesty grapefruit and citrus blossom.

Those aiming to truly spoil a well-versed wine lover are invited to reserve appointments with Matt Brooke to curate a gift that will truly impress. With over 20 years’ experience in his craft, Matt can lend his extensive wine knowledge to provide suggestions of bespoke varietals that are bound to elevate one’s wine collection.  To secure your one on one appointment, email crowncellar@crownmelbourne.com.au.
