Tasting Notes

When to drink
Cellar this wine for 5+ years
On the nose
Red and blue fruits including red currants, blueberry, sour cherry, cranberry and a hint of wild raspberry combine with florals, dried herb, spice, and earthy forest-floor qualities.
On the palate
Juicy red fruits meld with bramble and earth, whilst fresh acidity provides verve and a moreish drinkability to the wine. French oak plays a lovely supportive role in adding to the structure and flavour profile through mocha notes.
Product Notes
After primary fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the wine transferred to French oak barriques and Puncheons (15% new) for natural malo-lactic fermentation. The average skin contact time was 17 days. Barrel maturation was for nine months.
