The Marcarini winery is located in the village of La Morra. Established in the 1700’s, it is one of the regions historical estates and was one of the first to designate single vineyards on the labels in the 1950’s. The Marcarini wines can be described as classic. They come from great vineyards sites, are farmed organically (not certified) and the wines are aged in large oak.

On the nose
Red to dark red core with a rustic red hue. The fragrant nose offers up a bouquet of ripe red cherries, rose petals and red raspberries with earth, tobacco and spicy dried herb notes also chiming in.
On the palate
Spicy red cherry and red raspberry flavours lead the charge with earthy graphite, tobacco and dried herb characters lying underneath. Dry grippy finish.

For several generations, the Marcarini family has owned a considerable part of the Brunate vineyards; Brunate has been recognized as one of the Langhe’s most important cru zones since the 1300s.
