Maison Roche de Bellene Bourgogne 'Cuvée Réserve' Chardonnay 2018

Profile Savoury
Region Burgundy
Body Medium

In 1964 Françoise and Gérard Potel arrived in Burgundy in the village of Volnay. The Potels started producing high-quality Burgundy wines and decided to focus their production on the pinot noir grape variety and vinify only Premier Crus. This estate quickly developed and became a renowned winery in Burgundy. The city of Beaune, called 'Bellene' until the middle Age, is famous for its Burgundy wines. Nicolas POTEL personally chose this brand name in reference to this city, historically linked with wine and famous for its diversity of terroirs.

Tasting Notes

When to drink
Enjoy now!
On the nose
Aromatically the wine has notes of bright, fresh grated lemon zest, as well as a buttery, lemon pie scent.
On the palate
The palate is full-bodied with a deliciously creamy mouthfeel that isn't weighty, with a dash of acidity and spiciness.
Product Notes
The Maison’s entry-level white Burgundy comes from old-vine parcels in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. As with all the wines, harvesting is done by hand.
