Just in time for Easter, we’ve asked Matt Brooke, Director of Wine at Crown a wine pairing that could perfectly match with your Easter dining. Whether you're cooking lamb, fish, or veggies for the scrumptious feast, here we have a set of three wines to suit your dining occasion from start to finish, or as a gift to your loved ones.

Let’s start with Australia’s most awarded sparkling wine, ‘Arras’. This world-class sparkling wine, Blanc de Blancs is a stunning sparkling wine that genuinely expresses the attributes of prestige Tasmanian Chardonnay, meticulous winemaking, and extensive age on yeast lees. The palate exhibits flavours reminiscent of truffle, oyster, exotic spice and honeycomb which goes perfectly with any starters you are creating, such as terrines, fresh oysters, or crispy tempura prawns.

For your main, we suggest Patrick Piuze Chablis 'Chapelle'. Patrick only sources wine from the original 12th century Chablis boundaries. All his cuvees hail from the celebrated Kimmeridgian limestone—a unique terroir rich in fossils, prized for creating stony, complex Chardonnays with a fundamental respect for the soil. This incredibly delicate, bright and buttery Chablis is a great accompaniment to your aromatic fish, roasted vegetable, chicken or even lamb dishes.

Looking for something weighty, sweet, and provocative to finish your meal? Matt’s pick is the non-vintage East India Solera. A blend of soleras averaging 15 to 50 years of age, it boasts a dark amber colour as well as a huge nose of melted toffee, caramel, figs, and prunes. This over-the-top yet surprisingly vibrant effort is so much enjoyable as is, or simply over a dollop vanilla ice cream!
