Profile Fruity
Region Margaret River
Body Light

Established in 1970 as one of Margaret River’s ‘founding five’ wineries, Cape Mentelle pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and has become a benchmark for the quality of the region’s wines. The winery takes its name from the nearby Cape. They named the Cape after two notable French scientists, geographer Edmund and his cartographer brother Francois-Simon Mentelle, who lived in Paris in the early 1700s.

Enjoy now!
On the nose
This wine includes fresh green lime juice, white nectarine and Granny Smith apple skin, crisp cucumber aroma, and hints of fresh-cut lemongrass, passionfruit, and Meyer lemon peel. A subtle sea salt character gives lifted freshness to this complex nose.
On the palate
The bright palate bursts forth with fresh citrus, tropical and floral notes of lime juice, grapefruit, green pawpaw, jasmine and fresh wildflowers. Elegant yet textural, there is great tension in the wine, which has a lifted floral white tea note on its finish.
Product Notes
Cape Mentelle takes a non-interventionist approach towards this classic Margaret River blend allowing the region and varieties to speak with loud, clear voices, preserving fruit intensity and purity.
