Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley with 28 hectares of vines located at the foot of the Warramate Hills. Established in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus, the 1973 vintage saw production of the first vintage of Dry Red Wine No. 1.

When to drink
Long term cellaring of 20+ years
On the nose
Fruit power is the hallmark of this blend, dark berry fruits and some sage adding a background herbal lift. Christmas cake mixed spice and oak is evident but all in balance with the fruit.
On the palate
Beautiful fruit, a bright acid drive, and tannins form a solid foundation for the extended future. Brooding but not intimidating, this will be exciting to watch evolve.
Product Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon 55% Merlot 28% Malbec 12% Petit Verdot 5%. All hand-harvested and processed across a sorting table, only the best berries go into this wine. The Cabernet fruit is crushed to build structure through fermentation.
